A grid fault that reaches the water supply
Cascading failures are easy to explain afterward. Ollandi explains them while there is still time to act.
Ollandi knows both stations are now on backup power with limited fuel, and warns the water operator early enough to bring in fuel or switch supply.
Protection settings were changed that morning over remote access. Ollandi links the change to an engineer account signed in from an unknown network, and separates sabotage from equipment failure.
Ollandi ends the intruder’s session, suspends the account’s remote privileges, and blocks access to every substation it could reach. Each step can be reversed. Isolating a whole network segment waits for your engineers, or runs under an emergency protocol agreed in advance and reviewed afterward.
The utility, the water board, and the national CERT each receive the facts that concern them. Nobody hands over control of their systems, and the shared record holds up to any later inquiry.
